On the allegation of fraud in the 2020 US presidential election

The electoral college has met and blessed Joe Biden to be the next president of the United States. Some troubles are now behind us and new struggles lay ahead.

Still some questions about the election remain

First let us agree to some simple facts...

  • Before the election, Donald Trump knew that his core supporters would continue to carry his message of voter fraud no matter what the outcome of the election.

  • Before the election, Joe Biden was likely to win according to the published polls.

  • The electoral college is a game of chess. Certain counties of certain states can decide the whole election.

And ask What if...

  • The Democratic party felt that the presidency was too important to leave up to the outcome of an election.

  • Electoral Fraud opportunities have been available and have been exploited in the past in the United States.

  • Some operatives or activists would risk a felony conviction if they thought they could thwart Trump in 2020.

In which case the possibility exists that...

democratic activists exploited fraud opportunities in a few discrete locations in order to ensure that the results of the electoral college matched that of the popular vote. Any allegations that the fraud occurred would be dismissed since Trump was crying fraud even before the election.

The well publicized hearings in Michigan cast doubt on the electoral process in that state. The more colorful characters absorbed most of the spotlight. Particularly eccentric was IT contractor Melissa Carone. She came across as strange and was easily mocked by the media.

There were more serious statements by more substantial people that were not as easily dismissed. These statements have been mostly ignored.

The sworn testimony of Republican poll workers and volunteers make the following allegations:

Machines are supposed to run in batches of 50. When they jam, they should be discarded and started again on the jammed ballot.

Hima Kolanagireddy notes that she come across a couple of other machines where the numbers were 300, 400 it's not supposed to be but i could clearly tell that some of those people didn't know how to discard and start again so was there an over-count.

Many employees were conducting theft of duplicate so they would come up to the table of duplicate ballots grab three or four duplicate ballots run back to their table give one to another person another table and never complete the duplicate process they would stash the ballots under boxes

One wonders why they did not raise challenges during the actual election process.

Hima states: I was told not to challenge anything at that point because they said this entire process needs to be challenged so don't challenge try to stay in try not to get kicked out.

If what Hima and the other more credible witnesses say is even possible it should be reviewed with care. Dismissing the statements in order to avoid casting any doubt on the election does not bode well for the integrity of the election process going forward. We should identify fraud opportunities that can be eliminated in the future to prevent doubtful electoral contests.

It can appear that the two parties are simply two sides of the same coin.

Who cares who wins or loses?

It is about trust. We must take seriously any allegations of fraud to ensure that all sides can trust the elections. A trustworthy election is a peaceful election.

It was corruption and the subsequent introduction of violence into the electoral process that brought down the Roman Republic long before Julius Caesar officially demolished it.1

We owe it to the future generations to preserve the republic as long as possible.
