Black History Month after Charlotteville

What will it take for the distrust and hate to melt away. Or has it been melting away the whole time, just too slowly for anyone to see it. With no first hand personal earlier frame of reference we cannot know if we are better than before.

Given Charlotteville, we feel we are never getting better or that maybe we have gotten better but are now getting worse again. All of life is like a fog of war, we really know very little with any certainty. Indeed sometimes we cannot predict our own reactions. How then can we predict the reactions of masses of other people?
